Anderson "The Spider" Silva was born (April 14th ,1975), he is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and mixed martial artist . Since October of 2006 he has been the Ufc middleweight champion . Other places Anderson has competed are in Pride Fighting Championship, Shooto , Cage Rage , and Rumble on the Rock.

He was once a member of Chute Boxe in which he left and formed the Muay Thai Dream Team . In late 2006 he ended up joining a team called Black House with fighters Vitor Belfort , Nogueira Brothers , Aussuerio Silva and Lyoto Machida. Later on in 2008 Anderson and the Nog brothers opened the Team Nogueira Mma Academy in Florida.

Anderson Silva is currently ranked as the Pound 4 Pound greates mma fighter in the world as he holds the Middleweight Title and is also competing in the 205 division.Anderson Silva is well recognized for his Muay Thair skills but he also holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , which he received in 2006 from Antonio Noogueira.
